Dust Control Waste Management Project

Dust Stop was used by Waste Management for dust control testing on Courtice Field in the Fall of 2008. Dust Stop was able to effectively control dust despite rain days and high temperatures. See the recommendation letter here from the Site Supervisor.

First of all, I would like to thank you Todd and your crew for picking Courtice Field Transfer to undergo a dust control test.

To kick things off, we had the material delivered to the site on August 20th and the site set for application on August 26th. Todd arrived to our site from Winnipeg around 11:15a.m. and we commenced getting the vehicle ready to mix the material. The Dust Stop was mixed according to Todd’s calculations and to reach maximum performance, and as you can see by the photos, Todd was not shy in kicking in and helping to mix the material.

Dust Stop is made with 100% organic materials that are completely bio-degradable, non-toxic and non-hazardous which cannot be said for most of the dust control products found today.
The Dust Stop application was basically using the water truck equipped with circulating pump to help though blend the product, sprayer, followed by making passes with the truck concentrating on high traffic areas. The traffic should try to remain off the area for a short period of time, if however possible to ensure the whole area is concentrated.
We are still continuously monitoring the test areas. We have had several raining days and days of 33 degree Celsius, and still no dust. Dust Stop’s unique formula seems to bond and form a surface similar to asphalt.

We are going to continue monitoring this product and will keep you up to date to track ongoing performance, but so far, this product is with standing all elements that nature is giving it.
Please, do not hesitate to call me if any further information is needed.
Please see the photos, they speak for themselves.
